Privacy Policy

Information you provide: Name, email address, password, billing information, profile details, and any content you upload including match footage, photos, and messages.

If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive certain basic account information from Google, including your name, email address, and profile picture. We use this information to create, authenticate, and maintain your Crestline account and to provide our services to you. We store this information as part of your Crestline account and do not use it to access other information in your Google account. We do not sell your Google account information or share it with third parties for advertising purposes. Crestline only requests access to the Google account information necessary to provide the Sign in with Google functionality. You may revoke Crestline's access to your Google account at any time through your Google Account settings.

Information collected automatically: IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, and usage data collected via cookies and similar technologies when you access the platform.

Payment information: Payment card details are collected and stored by Stripe, Inc. Crestline does not store your full card number. See Stripe's privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy.

We use the information we collect to operate and improve the platform, process payments and manage subscriptions, connect players with coaches, send transactional emails and service notifications, respond to support requests, detect and prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations. We may also use aggregated and anonymized data for analytics and product improvement.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your personal information for third-party advertising without your consent.

Service providers: We share data with third-party vendors who help us operate the platform, including Stripe for payments, cloud hosting providers, and analytics services. These providers are contractually required to protect your data and may only use it to perform services on our behalf.

Coaches and players: When you subscribe to a coach, your profile information and uploaded footage are shared with that coach to facilitate the coaching relationship. Coach profiles and public information are visible to all users browsing the marketplace.

Business transfers: If Crestline is acquired or merges with another company, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

Legal requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of Crestline and its users.

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you logged in, remember your preferences, and understand how the platform is used. You can disable cookies in your browser settings but some features of the platform may not function correctly as a result. We use the Meta Pixel and similar advertising tools to measure the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns.

Crestline uses PostHog, a product analytics platform hosted in the United States, to understand how users interact with the platform and to identify and fix technical errors.

PostHog collects the following information on our behalf: a pseudonymous account identifier tied to your role on the platform (coach or player) but never your name or email address; browser type, operating system, device type, screen size, language, and timezone; IP address used for approximate city-level geolocation only; a fixed set of product events such as video upload actions, checkout steps, and page navigation; error messages and stack traces linked to the pseudonymous account identifier to help us diagnose technical issues; and scrubbed page URLs with all personal query parameters removed.

Crestline does not use cookies for analytics. Anonymous visitors receive a fresh random identifier on each page load that is not linked to any persistent profile.

Crestline uses session replay functionality to diagnose problems and improve the product. It creates a visual reconstruction of interface interactions such as clicks, scrolling, and navigation. All on-screen text, typed input, message content, names, emails, and any personal information are masked on your device before transmission. Session recordings look like a wireframe and contain no readable personal content.

PostHog does not collect names, email addresses, passwords, payment details, chat message content, or video content on our behalf. PostHog data is never used for advertising purposes, is never sold to third parties, and is never used for cross-site tracking.

PostHog acts as a data processor on behalf of Crestline. Analytics data is retained for 7 years and session replay data for 30 days, consistent with GDPR Article 5 data minimisation and storage limitation principles.

If you are a California resident, the pseudonymous identifiers and behavioral data collected through PostHog constitute personal information under CCPA. You may request deletion of this data by contacting hello@gocrestline.app.

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. If you close your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within 90 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or compliance purposes such as tax records or dispute resolution.

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information. However, no internet transmission or electronic storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee the absolute security of your data. You use the platform at your own risk and should only access it through a secure connection.

The platform is not directed at users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we learn that a user under 18 has created an account, we will deactivate it and delete their information promptly. You may access, update, or delete your account information at any time through your account settings. You may opt out of marketing emails by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email we send. We will still send you transactional messages necessary to operate your account.

If you are a California resident, you have rights under the CCPA including the right to know what personal data we collect, the right to request deletion, and the right to opt out of the sale of your personal data. If you are located in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, you have rights under GDPR including the right to access, rectify, restrict, or erase your personal data, and the right to data portability. To exercise these rights, email hello@gocrestline.app.

The platform may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any personal information.

If you participate in a Crestline promotional or referral program, we collect and process additional data including your referral link usage, the identity of users you refer, and whether qualifying actions have been completed. This data is used solely to administer the program and calculate rewards. It is not shared with third parties except as necessary to process payments or comply with legal obligations.

Referral tracking is handled through unique links associated with your account. We do not use third-party advertising networks to track referrals. All referral data is stored securely and subject to the same retention and deletion policies described in this Privacy Policy.

Crestline uses IP-based location detection to provide a localized experience including coach suggestions and regional content. Your approximate location derived from your IP address is processed on our servers and is not stored as precise location data. We do not collect GPS or device-level location data. IP-based location information is used solely to improve your platform experience and is not sold to third parties or used for advertising purposes beyond Crestline's own platform.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. For material changes we will notify you via email or a prominent notice on the platform at least 30 days before the change takes effect. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
